Do you have email?
Be sure to send me your email address so I can send you the latest news from At Loose Ends. That includes the sales I have throughout the year. I'd like to start doing an email newsletter as well.

If you're traveling to the area or need directions through the streets of Perham, here's a link to a map to help you find your way to 357 3rd Ave. SE. Here's a link to find out all about the bustling town of Perham.

At Loose Ends is located on the corner of 3rd Ave. SE and 4th St. SE in Perham, Minnesota. There's an art supplies store and gallery, a plant shop, two gift shops and an antique store clustered around the intersection. We like to think of ourselves as "the other Main Street." There's plenty of parking, too.

During the warmer months, I have tables and chairs set up outside for you to relax and do the "fiber arts thing" - knit, crochet, spin, tat, or whatever. I even have the local newspaper and some magazines there for those who don't partake of the fiber arts. Come and sit a spell. It's lovely under the shade trees.

If it's cold or rainy, I have a room at the top just right for small gatherings. Remember, Yarn Therapy happens Thursdays & Saturdays from 11:30 - 1:30, so stop by and enjoy the company of like-minded people, inside or out. It's free and the coffee is on.

Send or email your address if you would like to be on my mailing list. Hey, and if you just want to write and see how things are going, my mailbox is always open.

Oh, by the way, my name is Lil McRae. Born in Canada, moved to the US to go to college, ended up staying. I learned to weave and spin (without the benefit of alcohol or drugs ;-D) and crochet in the 70's. Knitting came in the 90's. After my Mum (who was a wonderful knitter) passed away, I found three projects that she hadn't completed. I taught myself to knit so I could complete her projects. Well, so far I haven't completed one, but I did manage to open a yarn shop! One of Mum's sweaters is hanging in my window. I have a husband and three sons, none of whom knit. Neither does the dog, the two cats, or the French angora rabbit. The rabbit has agreed to contribute his fur to the business in exchange for papaya chunks.

I taught my oldest son to knit when he was home for Christmas vacation 2004. He caught on very fast. He even took out his knitting while waiting for connecting flights on his way home to Portland, Oregon. Grandma would be very proud.
