www.knitty.com - great patterns (hip and tasteful to tacky chic), great articles, great sense of humor. www.knittersreview.com - detailed yarn reviews, more great articles. www.girlfromauntie.com - another fun site for knitters, plus she's into The Avengers, one of my favorite British TV series from the sixties. Wool Works - another very useful site for knitting info. The KnitList - Subscribe to this list for a wealth of info on two sticks. www.knitting.about.com - great site, very informative, free patterns. www.socknitters.com - very informative email list. Knitting Techniques - Cast on, bind off, I-cord and more animated! NEW! Here's another great site for technique info with videos for continental or English knitters. NEW! Annie's Attic has a great resource for all your crochet questions, with pics and videos to guide you. NEW! Here's a great site for loom knitters with free patterns and great info. Visit this website for a knit pattern for helmetliners. And here's a link to a sewn neck cooler pattern. This website has links for knit & crochet versions of helmetliners as well as neck coolers.
Weavers Hand - great for weaving links and info for tablet, kumihimo and ply-splitting. Here's another great website with streaming video and audio demonstrations called The Joy of Handspinning. Spinners and Weavers Housecleaning Pages - the name says it all! The Silkworker has the most gorgeous rovings of handpainted tussah silk for spinning. I have to stop myself from visited her website very often because it's hard to resist buying!
